Hello, I'm new to the craft community as I'm starting to think of selling my wares! Any advice is welcome. I will be browsing this forum for tips! I'm based in London and my website at the moment is http://london-cheapskate.blogspot.com/ I have a blog about crafts and recycling there and also one about being a freelance journalist on www.bintmagazine.com.
hello all! i'm addicted to craft magazine & read the blog several times daily while i'm at work. xox to everyone! i fell silly that i didn't think of posting sooner.
I just received Craft 05 and had a question I'm hoping someone could answer. On the cover there is a hand model ;) wearing a really cute red glove. Where did that glove come from? Or how can I make it? I haven't read completely through the magazine yet so I didn't know if that was a project, but I sifted through hoping it was and nothing caught my eye. Any ideas?
I just opened an Etsy shop yesterday and was doing some research on the crafting community in Santa Monica, CA, and stumbled upon this site! I'm a secretary and really hate my job, but being a single parent, I don't have a choice but to keep on keepin' on. So instead of being bitter about things I can't change, I can take refuge in doing what I love: sewing. Anyway, if anyone has any info on the sewing community in Santa Monica, can you please let me know? Also, if you have any advice on how to effectively photograph my products, please help me! I really appreciate everyone's help and feel free to visit me at www.snappymandy.etsy.com
Hi all. I am newly addicted to the site, and have been crafting since, well, forever! I am in Phoenix AZ w and would love other Zonies to post to me- not as much of craft community here as there was in NYC, but then, I haven't got snow to shovel either...... :)
Hi, I've finally signed up to participate in the forums. Don't know why it took me so long but I'm here now. I love making all kinds of crafts; however, I spend most of my time making lampshades, treasure boxes, and victorian suncatchers for my website. I also like doing Pergamano (parchment crafts), scrapbooking, rubber stamping, lots of embroidery work, and and and
Hi Everyone, I recently started to try and learn how to sew and I am having a little trouble getting started. My main problem is judging the in seam if that makes sense. The sewing machine I bought has a little ruler but I don't get where to start my fabric because the book I bought never mentions the exact location of where I should line up the fabric. Also the sewing machine I bought is a Singer 7462. Any little tips on threading tension and other topics like that would also be great.
I just came across the sickest site! They have handmade genuine leather jewelry wraps and they have to be the coolest i've ever seen! You can wear them on your wrist, on your neck or as a belt!! I already ordered a gold and silver one. check it out at www.JULLARIA.com
Hello! First time posting and I've looked through the magazine a few times :D and decided I had to get in on the community!
I've been knitting for a few months, mostly just scarves for the holidays and birthdays- but I've been playing around with screen printing and sewing for funsies and gifts.
I'm really looking forward to going through the entire site and getting to know all you creative and resourceful people!!
I just found this community and think it's great! Seems like a lot happening here.
I would like to introduce my site as well. It's littlemisscraft.com . I set it up during this past year while being homebound due to chemotherapy (for cancer). I hope you all like it and would welcome any comments!
Oh sorry about my previous posting. I think I messed up the link (it's not clickable). Here's the complete link: http://www.littlemisscraft.com/
I also want to mention that all the crafts on my site are made specially so that they are "germ free" and suitable to be given as gifts to cancer patients. I made a bunch of them for the other patients in my chemo ward and they liked them!
